GTA III has 20 unique stunt jumps: eight in Portland, four on Staunton Island and eight in Shoreside Vale.
Unique jumps are fixed stunt locations that trigger a cinematic slow-motion camera when you hit the correct takeoff zone. GTA III contains 20 total jumps, and all are required for 100% completion. A jump only counts when the game accepts both the launch and landing conditions.
| Island | Unique jumps |
|---|---|
| Portland | 8 |
| Staunton Island | 4 |
| Shoreside Vale | 8 |
| Total | 20 |
These counts make excellent checkpoints. If your Stats page says 19, revisit the island route where you were least certain about the landing confirmation.
Speed alone is not enough. Each jump has a defined launch area and expected landing region. You can trigger the cinematic camera and still fail if the vehicle lands short, too far sideways or crashes in a way the game does not accept.
Watch for the successful-jump message/reward instead of assuming the slow-motion camera means completion.
GTA III does not have motorcycles, so fast, stable cars are the usual choice. The Banshee is especially useful in Portland because one is commonly available at Easy Credit Autos. Later islands offer more high-performance cars such as the Cheetah, Infernus and Stinger.
For narrow ramps, predictable steering is often more important than absolute top speed.
Portland jumps use train tracks, docks, industrial ramps and city streets. Several have generous run-ups, which makes Portland a good place to learn how much speed the game expects.
Complete them before heavy gang hostility if possible. A vehicle taking shotgun damage during the approach can ruin the line before the jump begins.
Complete jumps island by island so a missed landing is easier to identify later.
Staunton has only four unique jumps, so it is practical to finish all of them in one focused session. Parking structures and urban ramps require more precision than simply holding full acceleration from a long straight.
Because the total is small, do not leave one “for later”—it becomes surprisingly difficult to remember which of four actually registered.
Shoreside Vale returns to eight jumps and includes airport-area stunts plus hilly suburban terrain. Long run-ups are available for some airport jumps, but overshooting is possible with the fastest cars.
Use a stable line and adjust speed in small increments after each failed attempt instead of changing both car and approach simultaneously.
Each successful unique jump pays an increasing cash reward based on how many you have completed, and completing the full set contributes to 100% completion. The activity is therefore both a money source and a checklist requirement.
If steering or physics feel unusually sensitive in the WebAssembly build, set the FPS limit to 30 and retry. A consistent frame target can make repeated stunt attempts easier to compare because the simulation workload is more stable.
Use the GTA III Browser launcher for the re3 WebAssembly runtime and one-time OPFS archive cache.
